LUMIERE (Video AI Platform)
PRODUCT
Video creation in the mid 2010's was not yet seen as the next frontier, everything was about photos at the time (Instagram), the founder of Quickframe realised early on that fast paced video creation, through a subscription style model could disrupt the ad video market and agency way of doing business. The main platform of Quickframe acted as a fast paced information gathering dashboard that allowed signed customers to request videos from a network of trusted creators and producers.
The add-on surplus value to the subscription of the main platform was Lumiere, an AI video analytics web app, complimentary to the main platform that would work ask upsell to the main subscription model for the customers.
Using proprietary big data algorithms and a network of AI experts in India and Turkey we developed Lumiere AI, a beta offering that was subsequently folded into the main platform where ultra micro analytics specifically for video could be processed and analysed by the Quickframe customer to better improve their ads and allow them to buy more ad option from the Quickframe platform.

ROLE
Product Designer (Junior/Mid) – Under the guidance of Matthew Allessandri the Design Leader I was tasked with many user flows of the analytics sub-platform as well as reaserch, user testing (A/B) in person and Lo-Fi to Hi-Fi designs
PROBLEM
Create a video analytics platform that utilised 56 unique points of video data to offer paying Quickframe customers a dashboard with a lot of insights on the performance of their videos and advertising across multiple channels and demographics.

To be solved:
A) Make the data comprehensible
B) The platform needs to look impressive (main use case was to upsell the main offering of the company and not the AI add-on)

DURATION

SKETCHES + SITEMAP
The first step of the process in designing for Lumiere was sketching. This served as a foundational stage where conceptualisation met technical feasibility and leadership approval.
Through sketching, I delineated wireframes, user flows, and interactivity, trying to balance in-between functionality and the "wow" factor as communicated as a base need from the leadership team. Using sketches, I mapped out the hierarchy of information, as well as the user journey and the rule-based filtering, ensuring intuitive navigation and optimal user engagement. This phase allowed for rapid prototyping and validation of design hypotheses which you can see below.
MVP
Alpha version

Weekly sprints were conducted to create the first phase MVP that would be presented to potential investors, collaborating with our Head of Product Matthew Allessandri and our Head of Engineering Voran Vor and ship an Alpha version within 8 weeks of kicking off
DESIGN SYSTEM
In developing the design system for Lumiere, I aimed to create an experience that wowed investors. Our design approach embraces futuristic elements, blending sleek interfaces, captivating animations, and visually stunning features. Blending the aesthetics of TRON as well as Neo-futurism and the genre of Neon it creates a familiar yet innovative echo.
MVP
Beta version

We continued with a more refined version that stripped a lot of the intense design elements and went back to the core functionality of analysing videos and distilling insights from them
WIREFRAMES
Back to the drawing board to redo the basis of the UX and create a streamlined experience for the user; after we successfully secured funding for the product on a seed round
Features that were our main focal point for MVP Beta:

1) Easy to understand library of uploaded videos
2) Video analytics and co-relation graphs to compare a number of factors  [platforms, demo/psycho graphics, budget, object analysis, video speed et al.]
3) Digestible info in order for Quickframe's account managers to upsell more video production from the main platform
LUMIERE SCORE
Unique identifier we came up with, to create certain "moats" around the UX as well as a new USP that our marketing users could base their analysis on and quickly glance which videos are performing or not

Used in the score analysis was:
1) Engagement rate
2) Views/Clicks/Likes
3) Click Through Rate's
4) ROIs
5) CPC
DASHBOARD
The dashboard was redesigned to create a simple "home" where our target user can log in and quickly identify their needing KPI's and take action as needed

We added a Lumiere Approved metric to quickly give more insights to our users:
It's an aggregate score of the barometric videos in your library (best vs. worst) to compare how best utilised a specific metric is and how it has performed
